The Fajardo Insolentes and Isabela Quesiteros played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Fajardo starter Rory Beveridge put the Isabela offense in a vise grip. The left-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Insolentes to a 3-1 win. Beveridge, the winner, moves to 12-14. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Abilio Rivera recorded the save, making him 19 for 24.

Anthony King had a big 2-run double for the Insolentes in the bottom of the third inning. With Fajardo leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Guillermo Rivera, who finished 5th in the LH in strikeouts with 272 in 1909, and swatted a double to left. It was his 28th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Insolentes ahead, 3-0.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Beveridge told the Fajardo News.

The win for the Insolentes raised their record to 88-59.
