Hechiceros Fall Short, 4-3, at Cayey
The Guayama Hechiceros and Cayey Cornupetas provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Cayey Cornupetas dealt the Guayama Hechiceros a 4-3 loss at La Plaza de Cayey. Benigno Valdez, who finished 5th in the LB in triples with 24 in 1907, was the star on offense. He went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The win hiked the Cayey record to 81-67.

Cayey took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Mícheál Doyle hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Cornupetas in front, 4-2.

Valdez called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
