Quebradillas Absorbs 4-1 Loss to Gurabo
|
Starting pitcher Nuño González had a solid game. He was a big reason the Gurabo Tainos throttled the Quebradillas Corsarios, 4-1. Pedro Garza earned his 11th save in 13 chances. Gurabo has now won 3 straight, while the Corsarios have lost 3 in a row.
Gurabo took a 4-1 lead on Manuel Porras's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Porras hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Quebradillas pitcher Rafael Torres visibly frustrated.
"We take it day by day here," said Porras, "and today was a good one for us."
