The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The 3-hit performance of Santiago Rodríguez, who finished 3rd in the LH in RBI with 93 in 1906, helped the Yabucoa Dulceros beat the Anasco Matadioses, 8-2. Yabucoa is now 79-70. Anasco is 78-70.

The fans who came to support the Dulceros were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Estadio Teodosio Martínez.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Rodríguez told the Yabucoa Gazette. "And padding the Yabucoa win column."
