The Fajardo Insolentes withstood a fine game by Rincon first baseman Trevor Ransom at Coliseo Hermógenes Cárdenas, to upend the Ingenieros, 5-4. Ransom went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Luis Flores earned the win for Fajardo. He lasted 8.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 18-15. The Insolentes bumped their record to 89-60 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Fajardo, had it not been for Hernán Chagoya, the 28-year old shortstop . Chagoya contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Fajardo up, 5-4.
