The Dorado Ejemplares locked up a win at Coliseo Eugenio Carvajal, knocking off the Hormigueros Romeros, 4-2. On the mound for Dorado was left-hander Hilario Rodríguez. He played a major role in the triumph. Rodríguez, who finished 2nd in the LB in innings pitched with 380.1 last year, went the distance for Dorado. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. The Ejemplares now have a record of 75-75 with the win over Hormigueros.
Bryan Feightner, who won the Nobilísimo in 1907, had a direct impact on the outcome. Feightner contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Dorado up, 3-2.
"I thought we played a nice game," Rodríguez told the Dorado Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
