Despite a fine performance by center fielder Benigno Ortiz, the Lares Fieles lost to the Naguabo Navegadores, 6-5. Ortiz went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Naguabo is now 98-53.

Naguabo used a well-timed hit by Cristián Márquez to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Navegadores ahead, 5-4. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Márquez told the Naguabo Chronicle.
