Sanisalvos Come Back Late to Top Navegadores, 7-3
|
Naguabo got a big-time effort from pitcher Liam Baxter, but it wasn't enough to keep the Morovis Sanisalvos from winning the game, 7-3. Baxter threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. With the victory, the Sanisalvos record stands at 90-59.
Morovis used the timely hitting of Spike Stonehand to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sanisalvos on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Stonehand after the game.
