Wet weather did not postpone the Fajardo-Adjuntas ballgame.
Though he had a stellar game, Darío Espinosa could not prevent his team, the Adjuntas Santos, from losing, 10-4, to the Fajardo Insolentes. Espinosa was 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. The first-place Insolentes improved to 91-60.
Julio Felipe helped out the Fajardo cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI.
Felipe said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
