In a low-scoring contest, Coamo pitcher Virgilio Ávila was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 1-0 win. Coamo reliever Virgilio Ávila was credited with the win. His record goes to 5-2. Bob Pitcher took the loss for Camuy. Felipe Estrada closed the door for Coamo, picking up his 1st save of the year.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Termales had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when catcher Evandro Bravo hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Bob Pitcher and made the score 1-0, Termales. Bravo went 1-4.
"We did just enough to win," Bravo said.
The Termales go to 70-80, putting them third in the Liga Betances Metro Sur.
