Hormigueros Romeros pitcher Alheib Tau was all business, helping his team muzzle the Vega Baja Caneros, 5-0. The setback makes Vega Baja 93-75.

Justo Moreno had a big run-scoring double for the Romeros in the top of the third inning. With Hormigueros leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a changeup from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Eugenio Pérez and swatted a double to center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Romeros ahead, 2-0.

"Alheib is good at sticking to his strengths," said Hormigueros manager Isaac Cortés.
