The Vieques Esqueletos defeated the Anasco Matadioses, 4-3, in 13 innings in Liga Hostos action at La Necrópolis. Vieques pitcher Senén Ortega had a standout performance. The Esqueletos go to 59-92 with the win.

The decisive blow was delivered by Sillvestre Castanho in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a solo home run off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Evaristo Rodríguez to win the game for Vieques. The home crowd went nuts.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Esqueletos manager Leo Rosales.
