Despite a great performance by San German designated hitter Jaime de Jesús, the Jayuya Cerros defeated the Golondrinas by the score of 7-2 at Recinto Municipal Lola Rodríguez de Tió. de Jesús hit 2 home runs. San German now has a record of 1-1.

Pedro Muñiz had a big 2-run home run for the Cerros in the top of the third inning. With Jayuya leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Álvaro Salas and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cerros ahead, 4-1.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Muñiz.
