Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Naguabo Navegadores and Orocovis Caciques.
The Naguabo Navegadores beat the Orocovis Caciques, 9-3. Naguabo pitcher and Utila, Honduras, native Pelayo Fernández led the way. Naguabo, now 100-53, holds down first place in the Liga Betances Noreste.
Naguabo used the hitting of Arabello Santiago to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Navegadores on top, 3-0. For the game, Santiago had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We maximized our offense today," said Naguabo skipper Urayoán Castillo. "That makes everyone's life easier."
