|
Aibonito got a first-rate effort from pitcher Raúl Flores, who frustrated Rincon hitters en route to a 3-1 Frios triumph at Coliseo Hermógenes Cárdenas. Flores picked up the win for Aibonito, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 17-18. Urso Ramírez earned the save for Aibonito, his 30th of the year.
Michael Reid, who is a four-time All-Star, had a direct impact on the outcome. Reid contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Aibonito up, 2-1.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Reid.
The loss makes Rincon 76-83.
