Romeros Squelch Combatientes Offense in Shutout Win
The Hormigueros Romeros reigned over the Cabo Rojo Combatientes in damp conditions.

Cecilio Castillo was terrific for the Hormigueros Romeros in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Cabo Rojo Combatientes. His performance earned Castillo rave reviews. Castillo yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 10-7.

Aimar Paniagua had a big 2-run home run for the Romeros in the top of the fifth inning. With Hormigueros leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from Alberto Lozano, who led the LB in innings pitched with 425.1 in 1910, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Romeros on top, 4-0.

"Cecilio did what Cecilio does," said Hormigueros manager Isaac Cortés.

Hormigueros goes to 78-82, Cabo Rojo to 83-78.
