The Yabucoa Dulceros and starting pitcher Ramón Montoya stifled the Trujillo Alto offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at Estadio Teodosio Martínez. Montoya yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-5.
The Dulceros benefited from an error in the bottom of the third inning. Yabucoa was leading 2-1 when Ismael González hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Yabucoa in front, 3-1.
