Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Bayamon Lecheros got the win.
Bayamon right-hander Eugenio Hernández helped his team edge Utuado by the score of 3-2. Hernández kept the opposing lineup in check. The Lecheros saw their record improve to 68-94.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Orren Long was at the plate when Bayamon scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Lecheros to go in front, 3-2.
