Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Esqueletos
The Trujillo Alto Macabeos wasted an impressive 10-inning effort from starter Bernal Ramos, falling, 1-0, to the Vieques Esqueletos in 16 innings at La Necrópolis. Their 64-100 record puts the Esqueletos second in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago.

Batting in the bottom of the 16th, 25-year old right fielder Fabricio Prieto had a real shot to win the game. Trujillo Alto pitcher Javier Rodríguez was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Prieto hit a run-scoring single. The Esqueletos had a walk-off triumph.

During his postgame press conference, Esqueletos manager Leo Rosales told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
