The Lares Fieles picked up a win at Plaza Cósmica de Lajas, downing the Lajas Marcianos, 4-2, in 14 innings. On the mound for Lares was right-hander José Reyes, who played a pivotal role in the win. Quilvio Mateo picked up the win in relief for Lares, while Don Forbes took the loss. Finley Miller earned the save for Lares, his 23rd.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Alcibíades Muñiz came to bat in the top of the 14th. Facing Lajas pitcher Don Forbes, he hit a first pitch curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lares on top, 3-2.

"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Reyes.

At 81-84, Lares is in third place in the Liga Betances Cordillera Oeste.
