In a remarkable performance, Moca Rebeldes starter Marco Valencia beat the Cabo Rojo Combatientes, 3-0, in an impressive 6-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Rebeldes hurler finished with no strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," Cabo Rojo manager Dick Hunt said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

To date, Valencia has a 3-5 mark in 6 starts with a 4.20 ERA. He has given up 79 hits in 75 innings, struck out 28 and issued 19 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .264 batting average against him.
