Starting Pitcher Manuel Cortés was lights out, as the Aguas Buenas Mulos beat the Juncos Valencianos, 1-0. The Liga Betances Cordillera Este-leading Mulos are 100-64.

The Mulos got a big boost from shortstop Ernesto Guerrero who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first inning off Valencianos hurler Atilano Romano. It was his 79th RBI of the season and put Aguas Buenas on top, 1-0.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Cortés.
