The Caguas Coquis had their hands full with Naranjito Brillantes starter Armando Gutiérrez, who frustrated Caguas hitters while leading Naranjito to a comfortable, 9-0 win. The Brillantes improved their record to 70-92 with the win over Caguas.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Parque de los Brillantes seemed to enjoy watching the Liga Hostos action.

"Armando gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Naranjito skipper Báquides Zamora.
