Vieques and Yabucoa took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Vieques pitcher Fidel Paredes had a large part in his team beating the Yabucoa Dulceros, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. After today's action, Vieques sits at 66-102, while Yabucoa falls to 88-80.

With one out in the top of the fourth, Marco Gómez put Vieques in front, 2-1, with a run-scoring single. The Esqueletos went on to win the ballgame.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Paredes.
