Sanisalvos Even With Romeros After Walk-Off Win
The Morovis Sanisalvos got a strong game from starter Kieron Lock, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Sanisalvos took the 5-4 win over the Hormigueros Romeros in Game 2 of the Serie Preliminar in a 9th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Lock. Lock threw 7.2 innings allowing 3 runs in the win, which brought the Sanisalvos into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 32-year old third baseman Darío Neira had a real shot to win the game. Hormigueros pitcher Víctor Hugo Velásquez was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Neira hit a 2-run single. The Sanisalvos had a walk-off triumph.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Morovis manager Nereo Villanueva said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 25th , 1915 at Coliseo Eugenio Carvajal in Hormigueros.
