Maricao and Aguadilla took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Maricao pitcher Esteban Robles had a large part in his team beating the Aguadilla Colmillos, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Robles picked up the win for Maricao, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 20-12. Galeno Henríquez nailed down his 3rd save.
Doroteo Baca, who finished 3rd in the LB in home runs with 24 in 1908, contributed to the Maricao win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Esteban was in tempo tonight," said Maricao skipper Cristón Ibarra.
With the victory, the Cafeteros upped their record to 107-61.
