The Caguas Coquis picked up a win at Campo Atlético de Caguas, downing the Villalba Mercaderes, 4-2. On the mound for Caguas was left-hander Ramón Ayala, who played a pivotal role in the win. Caguas, at 15-19, sits in second place in the Liga Hostos Valle del Turabo.
José Núñez hit a run-scoring triple off Albán Guerrero in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Coquis in front, 3-2. Núñez had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
