Stone Skippers Capture Close Win
The Mackinac Island Stone Skippers put one in the win column with an opening day 6-5 triumph over the Saginaw Joes. The crowd at Bouncy House watched Eufemio Palacios put on a fine performance.

Diego Santos was the walk-off hero for Mackinac Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stone Skippers catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Eufemio was ready to go. Big day for him," said Mackinac Island manager Ron Horne.
