Ingenieros Spoil Opening Day for Matadioses, Their Fans
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Anasco Matadioses were eager to watch Fernando López square off against Pascual García of the visiting Rincon Ingenieros. In the end, the Ingenieros won the game, 5-2, with Pascual García leading the way.

Rincon used the timely hitting of Jean Chenu to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ingenieros on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We didn't get the results we wanted," said losing manager Pablo Tovar. "But we'll come back and try and get the next ballgame."
