The Halifax Batteries besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Levis right fielder Renato Rosado by beating the Fourches, 10-8, at Fourches Park. Rosado went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Jaime Bautista. He's now 15-9. He went 7 innings, allowing 6 runs on 7 hits for the Batteries. The Batteries, at 63-66, sit in third place in the Ligue du Baseball du Quebec Division Maritime.

Halifax got a big at-bat from San Juan, Puerto Rico native Luis Saldívar, who in the top of the first hit a 2-run double. It was his 29th double of the season and put the Batteries ahead, 5-0.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Eneas Borrero.
