Spiders Edge Past Reds, 4-3
The Cleveland Spiders wiggled past the Cincinnati Reds, 4-3, at League Park II 1894-1901. The win was highlighted by the performance of Cleveland pitcher John Alder. The loss drops the Reds to 7-7.

Andrew Foster made it 4-3, in favor of Cleveland when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the 19th. The Spiders went on to win.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Bill Morgan.
