The Saginaw Joes went down to defeat to Pedro Jácquez and his Bad Axe teammates. The final score was 3-2, Stoplights, in 11 innings. With the win, Bad Axe improves its record to 3-2.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Bad Axe. That's when Steve Kruse hit a run-scoring double off 35-year old right-handed pitcher George Gillpatrick to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This game tested our mettle," said Kruse.
