Rey Silences Erie Bats
|
Erie Naval Yards hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
In a tight affair between the Norwalk Maples and the Erie Commodores, pitcher Julián Rey was in the zone. The Norwalk left-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. Norwalk is now 5-1.
The Commodores had few good swings against Rey, the left-hander, who threw 122 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 4 hits.
"Julián was in charge the entire game," said Norwalk manager Igor Santiago.
