It was a parade of hits for Roberto Cortez of the Utica Half Moons at Salt City Park.

Connecting with regularity, Cortez finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but the Halites rose to the occasion and rained on his parade by winning the game, 11-9.

"Cortez was really good, we were just a little better," said Halites manager Diodoro Nodarse in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win."

Roberto Cortez tripled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
