Muñoz Pitches Gem as Halites Beat Oswego, 5-0
Before the game, Nepomuceno Muñoz said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Salt City Park, the Halites pitcher blanked the Oswego Hydropathists, 5-0.

"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Muñoz said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my cutter even when I was behind in the count."

The Syracuse starter held Oswego scoreless, giving up 4 hits while registering 9 strikeouts and issuing 5 walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Hydropathists manager Harry Smith said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."

In 6 starts this year, Muñoz has crafted a 4-0 record and a 3.51 ERA.
