Partridges Earn Late Win
The Alpena Partridges defeated the Bad Axe Stoplights, 5-4, in Western Great Lakes Association action at Birds' Nest of Alpena. Alpena pitcher Amadeo Jiménez had a standout performance. The win moves Alpena to a record of 14-12.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the ninth when Álvaro Acevedo hit a run-scoring double off 29-year old left-handed pitcher Sisinio Cortés to win the game for Alpena. The home crowd went wild.

"We'll kick back a while," said Acevedo, "and then get ready for the next one."
