The Oswego Hydropathists picked up a win at Water Cure Park, downing the Utica Half Moons, 5-2. On the mound for Oswego was right-hander Josh Kelso, who played a pivotal role in the win. Kelso yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 4, and struck out 10. His record improves to 2-3. Javier Elías, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.

Oswego took the lead, 2-1, on Cristóbal Cordova's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Cordova hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Utica pitcher Andres Ortega crestfallen.

Cordova called the win "a collective effort."

With the win over Utica, the Hydropathists improved to 19-8.
