Good production from right fielder Diodoro Ortega helped the Bay City Sugar Beets topple the Saginaw Joes, 6-4. Ortega went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Sugar Beets. Bay City is now 9-21, Saginaw 17-9.

Carmelo Olea aided the Bay City cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-3.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Ortega.
