Utica third baseman Nehemías Piñeda had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Syracuse Halites at Cookie Cutter Park as the Half Moons picked up a win, 14-8.

"He was patient up there," Utica skipper Oscar Romero told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Piñeda has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Nehemías Piñeda hit a two-run home run off Wiley Davis in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

On the year, Piñeda has hit .359 with 5 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 23 runs.
