Citadels Win with Late Rally
The Kingston Citadels snuck past the St Catharines Chicken Chuckers, 6-5, in 12 innings. Kingston pitcher Aluino Armando, in particular, had a standout performance. Stewart Hunter got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Kingston, at 12-17, sits in last place in the Eastern Great Lakes Association Canadian Independent Baseball.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Tom Crocker? The 27-year old third baseman Crocker stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Kingston up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
