The Escanaba Wanderers defeated the Gary Blast Furnaces, 5-3, at Roaring Dan Seavey Stadium. Escanaba was led by 31-year old shortstop Juan Centeno, who was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Wanderers now own a record of 19-14.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Escanaba trailing 3-2, Centeno jumped on a changeup from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Nicolás Casas and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Wanderers had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Centeno.
