Partridges Beat Joes, 4-3, at Old Growth Forest
The Alpena Partridges picked up a win at Old Growth Forest, taking down the Saginaw Joes, 4-3. Starting pitcher Amadeo Jiménez was a big reason why. Jiménez, now 4-3, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 14 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. With the win, the Partridges improved to 20-13.

Alpena used a well-timed hit by Claudio Gutiérrez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Partridges ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Gutiérrez.
