Lilac Stockings Need Extra Frames to Get Past Peach Kings
The Rochester Lilac Stockings picked up a win at Perennial Blooming Park, taking down the Irondequoit Peach Kings, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Rochester was right-hander Brandon Brown. He played a central role in the triumph. Joe Stanley picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Enrique Morán suffered the loss. With the win over Irondequoit, the Lilac Stockings improved to 17-18.

The decisive blow was delivered by Balbino Fornaris in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Enrique Morán to win the game for Rochester. The home crowd went nuts.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Fornaris.
