Whalebacks Rally For 6-5 Win
The Superior Whalebacks defeated the Marquette Smelters, 6-5, in Western Great Lakes Association action at Edmund Fitzgerald Park. Superior pitcher Euríalo Rodríguez had a standout performance. The loss makes Marquette 21-17.

In the bottom of the 11th, Gil Banks had a chance to play the hero. And he did, socking a run-scoring single off Marquette pitcher Luis García.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Banks said.
