No one was more impactful than Diego Santos in the 10-5 Mackinac Island win over Alpena. Santos, who is tied for 4th in the WGLA in home runs with 9, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Mackinac Island pitcher Mateo Regalado got the win. He's now 6-5. Uranio Avitia was tagged with the loss. Mackinac Island is now 23-18, Alpena 22-18.

Mackinac Island used the clutch hitting of Brian Knuth to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Stone Skippers the lead, 7-5. For the game, Knuth had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Mackinac Island skipper Ron Horne. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
