The Erie Commodores topped the Mentor Rose Stockings, 9-1, in Eastern Great Lakes Association action at The Rosebush. The standout performance belonged to Erie pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Clay Marple. Marple yielded 1 run over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4.
