Red-Hot Lindsey Scorches Stoplights
No matter what the Bad Axe Stoplights threw at him, Joe Lindsey hit it. He easily handled Stoplights pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Sugar Beets triumph, 19-11, at Candysweet Park.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Lindsey's quip, Stoplights skipper Mateo Martínez said he "would take him up on that next time."

Joe Lindsey singled in the 2nd, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

So far this season, Lindsey has gotten 19 hits in 60 at-bats for a .317 batting average with 1 home run. His stats include 4 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 17 games.
