Partridges Need Extra Innings to Top Joes, 5-2
The Alpena Partridges earned a win at Old Growth Forest, knocking off the Saginaw Joes, 5-2. On the bump for Alpena was right-hander Javier García. He had a starring role in the triumph. Reliever Armando Posada picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Jack Stivetts, who is tied for 4th in the WGLA in strikeouts with 98, took the loss. The second-place Partridges are 26-27.

Alpena used the clutch hitting of Christopher Dyerson to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Partridges ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

García attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
