Syracuse Rallies for 4-2 Win
|
Syracuse got a strong outing from Aniceto Lara as the Halites defeated the Rochester Lilac Stockings, 4-2, at Salt City Park. Lara yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. The Halites saw their win-loss record go to 28-28. At the same time, the Lilac Stockings fell to 27-26.
Syracuse took the lead, 4-2, on Bryan Parkin's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Rochester pitcher Brandon Brown in the bottom of the eighth.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Halites manager Jack Neagle.
