The Alpena Partridges took Sisinio Cortés's best shot and still were able to collect a win at The Traffic Jam. The final score had Alpena getting past the Stoplights, 5-3, in 11 innings. Cortés over 8 innings allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4. The last-place Partridges improved to 27-33.

Ángel Pérez came through with a big-time hit for Alpena. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"At the end of the day, wins and losses are really the only thing that matters," said Pérez.
